Fishing 2016
Day tickets are available at £15 per day catch & release and if you wish to confirm arrangements our telephone numbers are shown on the web-site. This is to be updated where necessary w/c 11th April, the same date as the first re-stocking of the year.
We are delighted to confirm also that Holton Fly Fishers, a group formerly based at Holton le Moor, are now based at Otby. This arrangement does not affect day ticket fishing in any way and we are sure that any increase in activity resulting from Holton members using the lake will lead to better attention to management of the lake - including more regular re-stocking.
During coming weeks the cabin used for group events will be extended, the boathouse will be re-roofed and access roads will be either 'pot-holed' or resurfaced. This will include re-concreting a section of the road down to the lake itself. Every effort will be made to ensure that none of this work interferes with fishing!
Work which has been completed whilst we have been busy lambing is the tidying of the lake margins. These have been strimmed round and all of the Goat Willow which in places almost blocked the path around the lake has been removed. We feel that the aspect and ambience of the lake has been considerably improved.
